New Hotel Suite in our Loft

We first engaged with Loftplan back in early 2024 where we met Nic, who understood our requirements and what we were hoping for (which was inbound 3rd child and the desire for a ‘hotel suite’). We spoke with several companies but Nic seemed to get what we wanted more than anyone else, he proposed ideas no one else did and ultimately won us over.

Being in an area with no permitted development, Kyle the architect was able to navigate our strict planning rules and get us the outcome we wanted. Work began on the rainiest day of the year with the scaffolders getting the front and rear scaffolds up in scuba diving conditions.

Our 1st fix team were Dean and Dave, they were professional, masters of their craft, and left nothing to chance. They genuinely made the engagement personal, rather than just a service being provided. Both of them not only carried out their work but were also able to translate what we wanted into other teams and made sure we got what we wanted. Both of them were amazing.

Our boiler and water tank were relocated to the new loft bathroom in two days. Jake and Tom, the electricians, worked closely with us on where we wanted sockets, lighting and accessories and again their team work with Dean and Dave meant we were always looked after and got the results needed.

We also had to remove then reinstall our solar panels. Loftplan worked closely with that 3rd party organisation to ensure work was aligned and that they were reinstalled without issue. Bob oversaw the whole project, giving us access to excellent, skilled people. Keeping things on track and also being flexible around us when we needed space like half term with three kids running about. Bob was always responsive with texts and calls.

Mike dealt with 2nd fix work. His skill meant that the new stairs, skirtings, architraves looked no different to the existing one and somehow made it look exactly the same including some tricky finishes which our stairs had. Mike cladded the rear of our dormer with Pine, which looks incredible and is keeping with the area we live. All of these people our entire family loved having around, on some occasions when we needed to be in the loft for decisions, they even baby sat! We asked for a hotel suite, we have one and it is incredible.
