Having recently completed our loft conversion with Loftplan, we could not be happier with the quality of work and the added space to our property, which is a master bedroom with en-suite. Our initial consultations were with Nic where he took measurements, answered all our questions, and provided a sketch of hat the loft could look like, which was extremely useful to visualise the art of the possible. Following further consultation and agreement of the plans to proceed, he provided a full and detailed fixed price detailing exactly what we were paying for and what was not included in the price. Although we had planning problems in the initial stages (full dormer not allowed by Wiltshire Council), Loftplan/Surveyor quickly resolved and new plans were immediately submitted for 2 x dormers, which was accepted. The project commenced Nov 25 under the supervision of Warren and initial build by Grant and John. Warren went through all the details meticulously, managing our expectations as well as suggesting minor alterations from the plans, which provided even more space and a better look with the staircase. Grant and John were fantastic with the initial fit and even made alterations in the bathroom that provided more space. Then came Steve and Jack to install the stairs and deconstruct/construct new walls – again both were excellent, and Steve went to the extra effort of ensuring we retained a fitted wardrobe in our existing main bedroom. At this time there was also a flurry of activity as the plasterers, roofer, electricians, and plumber (Alan) came to install the first fix. They were all communicative and fitted to our requirements, were tidy and conducted their work professionally. Second fix carpentry and finishing touches were conducted by the excellent Shaun, and he was followed by the bathroom tile (Nick), who was worth the wait as his workmanship is of the highest quality (hopefully the pictures show that). Alan then completed the bathroom and second fix plumbing, with which we are delighted. Overall, the build lasted around 6 months and whilst a bit longer than expected, this was all acceptable and we allowed Loftplan the flexibility to programme us in when they could. The work was also delayed at times because of the horrible rain we had for the entirety of Dec/Jan. In summary, all the tradesmen were friendly, professional, communicative, tidy and it was apparent that they took pride in their work under the supervision of Warren, who made a final visit to inspect and reassure that we can contact Loftplan if there are any issues or concerns in the future. Thank you to all who were involved – we could not be happier with our new bedroom and ensuite and would highly recommend Loftplan.
