We have lived in our house for over 30 years and often considered converting the loft.

We had architects and builders in on previous occasions but they never seemed to be able to give us the design we wanted. However, we saw a Loftplan advertisement in our local Windsor magazine and thought we would get them in just to have a look and see what they thought.

Within minutes, Alan had come up with all the ideas we wanted to hear and assured us they were all feasible. Their architect came a few days later and their quote arrived by post shortly after. We couldn’t quite believe we could get exactly the design we wanted so we allowed them to go for planning permission, which was granted, and the work began!

The initial team consisted of Jim and Jordan who had the horrible task of dealing with nearly 70 years’ worth of dust and dirt that had accumulated up there but they didn’t complain once. They didn’t enter the house but knocked a hole in the roof where the largest window was going to be and entered through there and worked there right up to the stage when the stairs went in. They were hard working, reliable, professional guys who just got on with the task in hand, always friendly and polite and a credit to Loftplan.

In fact, everyone we dealt with at Loftplan was the same. The plumber, Alex was very conscientious, making sure that everything worked and we were happy. The carpenter, Mark, was brilliant! His attention to detail really has made the conversion something special. The roofer, Brett, had a particularly difficult job as, although ours is a large old house, it is semi-detached and had differing roof levels but, again, his professionalism and attention to detail has made it look amazing.

Everyone at Loftplan has been a pleasure to deal with. All the staff seem to really care about getting the job done well. As a result, we now have an additional floor to our house that is full of light with wonderful views over the river that we couldn’t enjoy before.

Loftplan stuck to their original quote (which is unusual these days!), and our new space was worth every penny!

Loftplan converted our loft to be a large master bedroom with accompanying en suite.

The project ran well and on time. It was great having a close knit team working on the project and we definitely felt we had value through the project management of the Loftplan team ensuring everything went smoothly.

We were especially impressed with the phase 1 of the build led by Ricky & Ian. The team did a great job and worked tirelessly and hard all the time.

We have been impressed from the very beginning to the completion of our new bedroom and ensuite and our whole experience with all the employees of Loftplan.

From our initial meetings where all the stages were explained in detail and then when we decided we would like to change the location of our new staircase into the loft the guys made every effort to make sure we got exactly what we wanted and planned it accordingly.

When the work started my wife and I wondered how 12 weeks of building work would impact on our busy family home but within days our children knew the names of the lads and loved getting a wave through the window as the workers climbed the ladder. Its worth noting that the lads hardly came into the house for the first month as they entered through a hole which soon became a Velux window.

I like the fact that Loftplan must brief their workers about how important a good relationship with the customer is because they always made an effort with both the adults and children in our home and this created a pleasant rapport throughout the job.

Ian was an experienced professional who constantly kept us updated on his teams progress as our loft turned into a room and I liked the fact that he would encourage us to have a look a couple of times a week and have a chat about what we wanted before he continued the work, clearly thinking about the customers plan for their exciting new space within their home.

Bob the boss deserves a mention also as he frequently visited specifically asking if we were happy with all aspects and making sure things were progressing smoothly.

When work began on the staircase the crew would make sure they cleaned up before leaving at the end of each day and importantly for us made sure that everything was left in a safe state.

Martin the carpenter was the next cheerful and polite tradesman to spend a couple weeks at our home and as well as being a nice guy we absolutely recommend his skills and it was fantastic to see our project coming together.

Even when my wife and I unknowingly put a spanner in the works by ordering the wrong type of shower for our ensuite the plumbers and Kevin were patient and understanding and assisted as much as they could to resolve the problem. Kevin was also great as the project came to an end by completing the little jobs that finished off our beautiful new living space.

Loftplan were attentive and professional throughout the time spent at our home and their employees always took care in their work and constantly put the customer first hence why we would recommend them 100%.

We are delighted with our bedroom and en-suite.

The thought of having workman in your house for any period of time is not great but the guys on site made it as painless as possible.

Ryan led the first part of the build and was great at keeping us informed and went out of his way to help and explain things.

We had a couple of minor things that needed rectifying after completion and the Company responded immediately which shows the support is there after the build is done.

We are extremely pleased with the quality of the conversion and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.
